MEGAWORDS STORE FRONT PROJECT-THIS SEPT

MESSAGE FROM THE MEGAWORDS CREATIVE GROUP
The mission of the Megawords project is to document our surroundings and experience, to have a voice free from the noise of commercialization and competing novelties, and to create an establishment that encourages an open and active dialogue between Megawords and the community at large. The storefront exhibition space will be a public expression of this mission, and it will foster a unique spirit of collaboration among the projects participants and audience that extends beyond the traditional role of art magazines.This storefront will serve as Megawords' focal point of activity for the duration of one month: a period of intense activity including permanent and rotating installations, guest speakers, musical performances, workshops and film screenings. In tandem with this creative period, we will release two special-edition printed issues of Megawords that will draw direct inspiration from the space, the artists and audience.Participants include Zoe Strauss, Alex Lukas, Steve Powers, William Pym, Maysles Films, Matt Schwartz, Ted Passon, KR, Isaac Lin, Adams and KEGR, Wesley Eisold, Hamburger Eyes, The Favourite Sons and many more.
